Astrid gently pushed him away and looked up at him with a raised eyebrow. "So, you'll do whatever I say from now on?"
Elio grinned, "If my lady says go east, I'll never head west. If she says lie down, I'll never sit up."
"Well..." Astrid hesitated, about to respond when Selena burst through the door. "Astrid, it's time to start filming. I need to touch up your makeup."
Seeing the scene inside, Selena quickly lowered her head. "Oh, I'm sorry for interrupting."
"It's fine, Selena. Come on over," Astrid said, getting up and sitting by the makeup table.
Elio, whose question remained unanswered, felt a twinge of annoyance. He was pretty sure she was going to agree. Selena's timing was impeccable—too impeccable. If she hadn't been Astrid's trusted assistant, he might've suspected she was a spy for her brothers.
Selena noticed Elio's intense gaze and her hands shook slightly. To prevent ruining Astrid's makeup, she turned to Astrid for help. "Astrid, what were you and Mr. Elio discussing? Why is he looking at me like that?"
Astrid shot a sharp glance at Elio, who meekly turned away.
The recording session lasted until four in the morning. As Astrid was leaving, the director personally escorted her out. "Ms. Irvine, thank you so much for making time to film the show. I apologize if my previous comments were out of line. I was just thinking about the show's impact. I hope you understand."
Astrid smiled warmly. "It's all right, Director. I'll be off now. See you at the next shoot."
"Goodbye, goodbye," the director said, waving as Astrid left the studio. Ziegler hurried over. "Ms. Irvine, I've been working on a piece for a long time. I wonder when you might have time to give me some guidance."
