"Oh my God! Did she just touch me?"
"I can't stay here anymore, I'm leaving!"
With that, a crowd of people rushed out of the room, leaving only Gracie, her friends, and the girl who had fainted.
Selena, after dialing emergency services, huffed in annoyance, "What's wrong with those people? Running off without understanding the situation first. They're probably out there spreading rumors by now!"
Gracie, though feeling a bit unsettled, was mostly unharmed and couldn’t help but feel a surge of anger as she recalled the things those people had said. "They’re all ingrates! Astrid has always been so good to them. The moment something happens, they start talking trash and refuse to cooperate with the investigation. Just adding to the chaos!"
Astrid gave a gentle shake of her head, unfazed. "It's fine. Them running off is actually a good thing. It might force the person responsible to slip up. Whoever dared to mess with my costume in the dressing room must have tampered with the hallway cameras too."
"Once they realize I wasn't poisoned, they'll try again. That's when we'll catch them red-handed."
"Damn it, can't these people just stop? First, they try to ruin a reality show, and now they can’t leave a film set alone!" Gracie's temper flared, "Seriously, when will this end?"
Selena patted Gracie reassuringly on the shoulder. "Take it easy, Gracie. You don't want to get worked up and risk spreading the toxin faster, do you?"
Astrid chuckled, amused by Selena's logic. "Selena, where did you get the idea that getting angry could spread poison faster?"
"Uh, I don't remember. I saw something like that on a TV show once." Selena muttered, a bit embarrassed by Astrid's laughter, "Stop teasing me and focus on finding a cure for Gracie."
