“Wow, Astrid, you're absolutely fearless! That old diva Bernice deserves everything coming to her," Gracie said, practically bouncing with excitement. "How are you planning to take her down? Let me know, I want in on this. There's no way I'm missing out!"
Astrid couldn't help but chuckle at Gracie's eagerness. "Bernice has some strong connections, and she's deeply rooted in the industry. Taking her down will require a well-thought-out plan. I have some dirt on her, but I need to strategize a bit more."
"I get it!" Gracie exclaimed, clutching Astrid's arm with enthusiasm. "Are you going to make Bernice self-destruct while we just sit back and enjoy the show?"
Gracie wiggled her eyebrows mischievously as she spoke.
Astrid nodded approvingly. "You're getting sharper by the day, Gracie."
"Hey, when was I not smart?" Gracie boasted, raising her chin. "While you were filming, I picked up some ingredients. Let's get Selena and head back for a homemade fondue."
"Sounds good, thanks, sis," Astrid replied with a smile as she headed to the dressing room to change. Gracie waited by the door.
Before Astrid re-emerged, Linda appeared.
In the past, Linda never missed a chance to pick on Gracie, but after several humiliating encounters with Astrid, she'd learned to play nice.
No more antics.
Instead, Linda was all about making amends.
"Gracie, are you waiting for Astrid? We have several scenes together tomorrow. Does she have some time later to run lines with me?" Linda asked, trying to sound as humble as possible.
Gracie disliked her but kept her cool to avoid causing trouble for Astrid. "You'll have to ask her yourself about her schedule; I can't speak for her."
