The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 391

For a moment, Emily was unsure of what to do.

Matthew smiled and said, "We can divide the new hires into two groups. One will work on your experiment, and the other will focus the telomere experiment. How does that sound?"

Emily shook her head and replied, "My research focuses on cell regeneration and death. It's connected to the treatment of many diseases."

Matthew chuckled. "Well, the telomere research in our laboratory focuses on immortality."

Emily curled her lips and said, "Now that you've got some money, you're losing touch with reality and thinking about immortality?"

"Do you know what happens to those who chase immortality? Everyone ends up the same way. Since the beginning of humanity, everyone has died. No one can escape it, so stop dreaming."

Matthew nodded and asked, "Are you sure immortality is just a dream?"

Seeing that Matthew was serious, Emily stopped teasing him. "From a scientific perspective, none of our ideas are just dreams. Everything can be achieved."

She started explaining, "In the past, when people didn't want to walk, they developed sedan chairs, followed by carriages, then cars, and eventually airplanes.

"When people went to war, it progressed from fists to clubs, then to swords and guns. It eventually advanced to gunpowder and artillery, and finally to nuclear bombs, weapons of mass destruction that can devastate entire nations.

Many of humanity's dreams have been realized. Some dreams that haven't come true aren't impossible. They're just limited by the current state of scientific development."

She continued elaborating, "In theory, longevity could also be achieved. I know of at least ten methods to make it happen.

"The first method involves using cloning technology to create organs. If an organ fails, you could clone a replacement, similar to replacing an engine or tires in a car.
