"Selena!" Addy, the stage manager, spotted Selena standing by the window and quickly rushed over to pull her inside.

Selena considered making a run for it, but it was too late.

As soon as she was inside, everyone gathered around her, bombarding her with questions. "Selena, I heard you were at that karaoke bar last night. Do you know anything about Linda getting involved with those guys?"

"Astrid was there too, right?"

"Come on, spill it. What really happened last night?"

Selena clutched her thermos tightly, feeling incredibly anxious.

She was terrified of saying something that might get Astrid into trouble. Carefully choosing her words, she finally spoke, "You've had dinner with me a few times, so you know I can't hold my liquor. I got drunk pretty early last night."

"And I'm a terrible drunk, so Astrid took me home."
