Defying Fate: The Unstoppable Eileen novel Chapter 370

In the heart of a bustling living room, Egbert was glued to the TV, his remote control in hand, as colorful comments scrolled across the screen. The excitement was palpable, buzzing like a live wire.

"Ahhhhhhh!"

"She's so cool, so cool, so cool!"

"Eileen is a legend!"

Egbert chuckled, shaking his head. "These folks are going wild over Eileen," he muttered to himself, taking a sip of his coffee. The rich, bitter taste danced on his tongue, a stark contrast to the sweetness of the moment.

Beside him, Galen was practically bouncing in his seat, eyes wide with disbelief. "Did you see that, Egbert? She just flew across the river!"

Egbert smirked, raising an eyebrow. "She didn't fly, Galen. Just ran really fast."

"But she was like a superhero! And what's this about building snipers and grenades? Who is she?" Galen exclaimed, throwing his hands up in mixed awe and confusion.

"Just a mischievous spirit," Egbert replied, a hint of admiration in his voice as he switched the channel to focus on their beloved Eileen. The screen now displayed her poised figure, racing across a digital landscape.

Eileen had just crossed a massive river, and now she was in the safe zone, a determined glint in her eyes. She checked her watch; an hour until the next storm hit.

Suddenly, the sound of gunfire filled the air. Eileen ducked behind a nearby tree, scanning the landscape below. Two rival groups were locked in a fierce battle, one holed up in a barn, the other in a sprawling three-story villa.

"Crazy," Eileen muttered, settling into the grass to watch, her hand already reaching for a protein bar from her pack.

A rustle from behind alerted her. Instinctively, she swung her rifle around, finger ready on the trigger.

"Don't shoot! It's just me..." A drenched teenager stumbled into view, breathing heavily. He flopped down beside her, shivering from his unexpected swim. "I nearly drowned back there!" he gasped.

"Then get lost," Eileen replied sharply, not taking her eyes off the action below.

The boy, undeterred, whined, "Come on, sis, you wouldn't really shoot me, right? You know I'm not the bad guy here."

Ignoring him, Eileen focused on the battle below. The two groups, distracted by the gunfire from her direction, resumed their skirmish, bullets flying everywhere.

Eileen smirked, her mind racing. With the distraction in place, she crept around the hill, positioning herself for a better vantage point.

"Hey, where are you going?" the boy called after her.

"To break up the party," Eileen answered, her tone cool and confident as she set her sights on one of the villa's windows through her scope.

Three seconds later, someone darted past the window.

“Bang!”

Three were down – two from the Mansion Crew, and one from the Warehouse Gang.

The gunfire below suddenly ceased.

These two groups had been staring each other down for hours, and not a single person had fallen. Now, out of nowhere, someone from the hill had taken three of them down in just a minute!

Moments later, someone in the warehouse window waved a white handkerchief frantically.

Eileen’s eyes narrowed as she aimed at the handkerchief.
