When she was done checking him, his pale face had turned suspiciously red.

She quickly pulled away and let out a cough. "I'm sorry. I was just trying to check where you're feeling unwell."

"It's okay," Ethan replied softly.

"After you pressed around, I could sense that it was my intestines."

"That might be acute enteritis," she guessed.

When she was little, Benjamin would rub her tummy, and her stomach no longer hurt. Seeing Ethan in discomfort, she hesitated for a moment but eventually reached out her hand once again.

"Let me give you a massage."

After saying that, she started rubbing his abdomen in a counter-clockwise motion.

Ethan's hand, which was pressed against the tree, curled into a fist. His lips were pressed into a thin line, and his body tensed up. From an outsider's point of view, it did look like he was feeling unwell.

"Mr. Dane, are you alright?"

George had just pulled up with the car and was shocked by Ethan's condition.

Ever since he started working for Ethan, he had never seen Ethan in such a state.

Josephine quickly explained, "He has food poisoning. Hurry, help him into the car."

George was baffled. How could Ethan suffer from food poisoning? He was notoriously picky about food. He would only eat the freshest ingredients that were cooked cleanly. He would even track his calorie intake.

Of all the illnesses he could have, food poisoning was almost impossible!

Despite his confusion, George didn't ask any further. He quickly helped Josephine in getting Ethan into the back seat of the car.

After settling him down, Josephine wanted to get out to sit in the front passenger seat. However, Ethan grabbed her arm. "Could you sit next to me?"
