After watching the video and reading the comments, Josephine was so furious that she was at a loss for words.
She couldn't believe that she was being framed as the mastermind behind it all when she was the victim of the affair between Zayn and Nadine.
How could they twist the truth like that? Was there no justice left in the world?
"See? Zayn is completely innocent," the girl in front of her said smugly before unlocking her phone. Josephine was stunned to see that her lock screen was a picture of Zayn. And it had clearly been photoshopped and enhanced.
In the photo, Zayn stood on a street, smoking a cigarette. His black suit was sharp and tailored, emphasizing his deep eyes, high nose, and thin lips. His raised arm revealed defined muscles. The Maybach beside him didn't steal his shine—it only made him seem even more commanding and imposing.
Not only did Zayn's affair not earn him public outrage, but it had actually won him a whole group of fangirls.
Josephine bit her lip, her eyes burning with anger.
Just then, her phone rang, and the name flashing on the screen was Zayn.
She took a deep breath, stepped aside, and answered the call. "Zayn, you actually have the nerve to call me after hiring online trolls to slander me?"
"My dad was the one behind that. I had nothing to do with it. I've been busy transferring assets these past few days. Don't take it out on me."
"It's all the same. You're part of the Forbes family, so you're all in this together. Listen, I'm not as easy to bully as you think. If you push me too far, you'll regret it!" Josephine snapped.
Zayn let out a low chuckle. "Who said you were easy to bully? I don't care what others think, but as far as I'm concerned, you've got me completely under your thumb."
