Matthew held the baseball bat firmly. As his leg muscles tensed up, he sprang off the ground with a powerful momentum.
The concrete floor cracked with a spider web pattern. He dashed toward the group of ten or so burly men like a gust of wind.
The baseball bat hit one of the burly men's legs, and the sound of his bone snapping sent shivers down everyone's spine. Then, the sound of bones breaking rang out in quick succession.
One after another, the burly men dropped to the floor, holding their broken legs in agony. As they writhed and screamed, it was irking and unbearable like the scraping of nails on a chalkboard.
Matthew walked up to Derek before coming to a halt. Behind him were the anguished howls of Derek's men, which were as tragic as hell.
Watching this scene unfold, Derek was so terrified that his face turned pale. "Do you know who these guys work for? How dare you hurt them? Do you realize what's going to happen?"
Matthew swung the baseball bat hard and smashed it against Derek's leg. With a snap, the bat shattered into two pieces on impact.
Derek's thigh bent at a 45-degree angle. He immediately hunched over and collapsed to the ground.
Holding his right leg, Derek shouted in agony, "It hurts so much! You've lost your mind… We're with the Brotherhood. If you mess with us, you'll regret it."
Matthew coldly grunted. "I'll make you regret this in a heartbeat first."
Right after that, Matthew booted Derek right in the face and then pulled his foot back.
With blood pouring out of his mouth, Derek had several of his teeth caught in his throat, making him cough violently.
Matthew raised his leg and pressed his foot against Derek's chest, putting some pressure on it. Feeling the tightness in his chest, Derek thought that his rib cage was about to break.
Terrified, he quickly pleaded, "I was wrong. Please don't hurt me. I swear I won't cause you any more trouble."
