Finally, the outcome was determined! Now that the medical literature belonged to Matthew, he also relaxed a lot. He casually said, "Where's your proof to say that I've cheated?"
Immediately, Caleb flushed a deep red that ran down his neck. He glared at Matthew furiously as his expression twisted in anger.
Matthew then said coldly, "What are you looking at? You're not gonna be a sore loser, are you?"
All of a sudden, Caleb began to grin. "I never thought that you'd cheat in my presence, but you're still too young.
"Did you think I wouldn't know that your card was supposed to be a Six of Clubs? You switched it out for a Five of Clubs. To think you cheated right under my nose!
"You're asking for trouble by showing off in front of me, an expert!"
Matthew had long known that Caleb was capable of card counting, which was why he had switched out the Six of Clubs for a Five of Clubs at the last minute.
It was all set for the final outcome, and nothing could be changed anymore. But now, Caleb was blatantly admitting that he was card counting.
"My cards haven't been revealed even once before this, and you could only see the back of it, so are you admitting to card counting? Are you admitting that you cheated?"
Caleb then put the medical literature into his pocket and shrugged.
"I originally planned to win a little money from you because that would be the best outcome for you, but who knew that you'd choose to cheat? Don't blame me for being rude when you're the one who's asking for it!"
