Now that Jane lost, Sebastian only had one target left—Caleb!
Caleb took a deep breath and felt as if it was his time to shine. He slowly picked his card up and flipped it over. It was an Ace!
Sebastian began to frown, but then he casually said, "Your Ace might be leading, but it falls short compared to Jane's."
Underlying his words were the implication that Caleb wasn't a worthy opponent, so he shouldn't even try competing with Sebastian.
Hearing that, Caleb's emotions began to stir, and he reached for his second card. If he wanted to overthrow Sebastian, he needed to have three Aces because only the Ace Three of a Kind could topple the King Three of a Kind.
Caleb then yelled, "It must be an Ace!"
In the next second, he slammed the table with his card flipped open. It was an Ace of Hearts!
Caleb got so excited that he cursed, "Fuck! There's hope for me!"
On the other hand, Sebastian's face began to drain of its color. There were only four Aces, and one of them was with Jane, while two others were revealed to be in Caleb's hands.
Caleb was way too lucky! Still, he only had a pair of Aces.
Upon seeing that, Sebastian said in relief, "You might have a pair of Aces, but it's not good enough to beat Jane's alone.
Caleb then took a deep breath and said, "Who knows? Maybe my last card will be an Ace as well."
But Sebastian shook his head. "Impossible! Three of the Aces have already been revealed, so the probability of the last one appearing in your hands is only one forty-sixth! There's no way you'd be that lucky!"
The only cards that could beat Sebastian's King Three of a Kind was an Ace Three of a Kind, and having played poker for so long, Sebastian had never seen two Three of a Kinds appearing at the same time.
Hence, he didn't believe that he'd be so unfortunate as to come across it so coincidentally.
Caleb rubbed his hands and covered his mouth with his hands as he blew into his hands and muttered, "It must be an Ace. I swear, I'll start praying every day if it's an Ace!"
He picked his card up as he spoke, and then, he flipped it over forcefully. The card landed on the table with a crisp sound, and there it was—an Ace in sight!
Upon seeing that, Caleb shouted excitedly, "Three of a Kind! Ace Three of a Kind! I've got an Ace Three of a Kind!"
