Matthew said coldly, "You did this all to yourself!"
He remembered how he'd stepped out of that prison with all the money he had made. He'd learned an incredible medical skill. He was sure that he could give Tessa an even better life. He wanted to spend his days with her so much.
However, Tessa had usurped the company and kicked him out. Everything had ended like this because of her own deliberate actions.
Tessa put down her pen and looked at Matthew. "Now, I have nothing. I'm a nobody. I know that you're a kind person who would pity a stranger. Could you at least have some mercy on me and send me some money for food?"
Matthew stood up and walked toward the door, leaving Tracy behind.
Tessa was frozen in shock by the sight of this. "Why… why can't you just think of me as a poor stranger? Can't you spare even a little pocket change for me? Do you hate me that much?"
Tracy got up and chased after Matthew. Then, she remembered something and turned to Tessa. "This is not your company anymore. Please leave!"
Tessa smiled, her heart full of misery. She got up and went to the elevator. However, Matthew was in it. He was pressing the button to hold the elevator door open, probably to wait for Tracy.
But when he saw Tessa, the doors closed. His handsome face gradually disappeared from view as the doors slid shut. That was it for Tessa. She howled and began sobbing.
Tracy frowned. If it were any other woman, she would have offered a tissue at once. However, she knew everything about Tessa.
She was repulsed by this ungrateful woman. Tessa was simply too merciless for words. There was no telling if Tessa would stab her in the back if Tracy was friends with her.
Tracy went to the elevator and pressed the button, wanting to leave Tessa as quickly as possible. The door slid open, revealing that it was empty inside. She walked in hurriedly, pressing the button.
