The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 277

Sara treated her subordinates with utter contempt. People like her didn't deserve any leniency.

Rachel's voice cracked with fear on the other end of the line. "I thought so too, but she showed up with someone and launched a full-scale attack.

"It was brutal, with several people getting their legs broken and blood everywhere. They're coming upstairs to find me. I'm scared…"

Matthew's heart pounded as he heard the terror in her voice. He sprinted from the courtyard and hopped into his car. "I'm on my way. Stay safe," he said before ending the call.

He slammed the gas pedal, and the engine roared to life, sending the car lurching forward. When he released the clutch, the car rocketed forward like a missile.

He sped through the streets and reached Wealthwave Group in half the usual time. He jumped out of the car and charged toward the entrance without bothering to close the car door.

At the entrance, he saw two security guards sprawled on the ground. One had a leg twisted at a grotesque angle, and the other was Zachary. His arm was broken, and his hand hung limply, along with part of his forearm.

Zachary winced in pain. He was surprised to see Matthew. "What are you doing here after hours? You need to get out. It's dangerous here."

His concern moved Matthew. They had often chatted in the break room, and Zachary had looked out for him as a newcomer. His kindness had left a lasting impression on Matthew.

Matthew felt even more grateful upon hearing that. "I know. I'll go check it out. I'll treat you when I return later."

Zachary grabbed his sleeve with his good arm. "Are you insane? There's a lunatic attacking everyone with brutal force in there. It's too dangerous for you to go upstairs."

Matthew pointed up the stairs. "Rachel's up there. She's my fiancé. I can't just leave her."

Zachary released his grip. "You're risking your life for a woman... but you're no match for that guy. He's not even human. Think this through."
