Allison nodded. "That's right, Mina's running the Boswell estate now. She's Wilton's stepmom."

Emma's eyes widened. "Oh, it's her!" She quickly asked, "Allison, why are you looking into her? Are you in some kind of trouble?"

Allison glanced towards the bedroom where Daisy was resting, then lowered her voice and stepped onto the small balcony. "It's about my best friend. She married into the Boswell family, to Mr. Frances Boswell. Now, Frances is in the hospital. He had a car accident when he was younger, and his health has never been great since. Recently, his condition took a turn for the worse, and it's pretty serious."

"I get it," Emma replied. "I'll have my boyfriend look into it and try to get you some details ASAP."

"Speaking of which, have you spent any quality time with him lately? Don't bury yourself in work all the time. There's a ton of stuff to handle at Epic Entertainment, and you can't do it all. You've just wrapped up 'Fragments of Truth' and come back to Northfield. You should really spend some time with your man."

Emma's cheeks flushed slightly. "Yeah, yeah, I've seen him. When there's a moment, I'll bring him by to meet you."

"Okay, I'm dying to see what kind of guy has won our Emma's heart," Allison teased.

After ending the call, Emma tackled a few issues raised by her artists and then hurried to sort out the rest of Allison's schedule.

These days, Allison had a ton of fashion gigs lined up, including a shoot for a top women's magazine in two days. Emma reached out to the editor-in-chief and managed to postpone it by a couple of days.

Stepping out of the office, Emma bumped into Analia. Ever since Charlie got promoted to deputy director, Analia had taken over as Penelope's agent, reporting everything to Charlie.
