The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 570

Was it just Allison’s imagination, or was Hudson inching closer to her with every passing moment?

A subtle alarm bell rang in her head as she shifted discreetly to the side. “I’m sorry,” she said with a hint of reservation. “If my issue has caused the company any trouble, I truly apologize.”

Hudson, ever so casual, took out his phone. “I’m sure Patty must’ve mentioned it, but your case is a bit tricky,” he said, scrolling through his device.

Allison frowned. “How? Patty didn’t say anything.”

Hudson looked like a gentleman on first glance. He was in his forties, slightly round in the belly, yet still in better shape than most middle-aged men. But when he smiled, it was very lewd. Allison was a little uneasy, especially after overhearing gossip about his inappropriate conduct with female actresses in the break room.

Under the table, her fingers were busy texting Emma for help, hoping she would reach out to Patty.

Hudson’s phone now displayed several photos, and Allison’s heart skipped a beat. They were those ambiguous shots of Penelope. “Mr. Sears,” she said. Her voice was steady and firm. “You’re mistaken. That’s not me in those photos. I’ll clear this up at a press conference in three days.”
