Johanna's vengeance demanded the blood of her enemy!
Archie's death at Imogen's hands was a memory that haunted Johanna. Every time she recalled that night, it felt as though an invisible hand was gripping her heart, suffocating her with unbearable pain.
She had to get her revenge. She needed to!
If not for that burning desire, she wouldn't have endured and scraped by until now.
Now, with an opportunity finally in front of her and after all the patience and suffering, how could she let it slip away?
Inside the SUV, no one noticed the slight tremble of Johanna's eyelashes. As the robed figure continued chanting commands with the bronze bell in hand, Johanna moved.
With sudden, unprecedented ferocity, she lunged forward. The sheer force of her impact was like a cannonball slamming into the robed figure, sending him crashing into the car door.
In the next instant, the bells slipped from his grasp, snatched away by Johanna in the chaos.
The robed figure's expression twisted in shock and fury. "What are you doing?" he roared.
Pete, sitting nearby, was equally stunned. For a moment, he froze, neither reacting nor moving. It wasn't until Johanna leaped out of the car, clutching the bronze bell, that the robed figure barked at Pete, "Are you blind?"
Pete finally snapped out of his daze and shouted to the men in the other vehicle, "Get her! Bring her back!"
The men rushed forward, but it was already too late.
In the brief moment of opportunity, Johanna manipulated the bronze bell to issue one final command to the venomous creature within. Then, without hesitation, she raised the bells high and smashed them down onto a nearby rock.
A furious curse escaped the robed figure's lips. "Fuck!"
The bronze bell cracked under the force, leaving a jagged hole. Whether the venomous creature inside had been killed by the blow was unclear, but Johanna collapsed onto the ground, laughing hysterically.
