Return of the Crowned Heiress novel Chapter 663

Scarlet raised an eyebrow with a sly grin and said lazily, "Can't seem to get a moment's peace, huh? Boss, if this car gets dinged up, I don't have to pay for it, right?"

Earlier, Stanley had casually mentioned that the car they were driving was specially modified—bulletproof glass, explosion-proof tires, and reinforced bumpers and doors. It was basically a top-tier heavy-duty vehicle.

In most situations, they could just sit in the car or forcefully charge through any blockades.

Scarlet was clearly hinting at charging straight through. The car was expensive, but a few scratches were inevitable in such a situation.

Felicia glanced outside, her eyes twitching when she spotted a particular license plate. She quickly stopped Scarlet from ramming through. "Wait. Don't move. It's someone we know."

"It wouldn't be…" Scarlet seemed to have an idea, but before she could finish, one of the surrounding cars opened its door. A tall, elegant figure stepped out and began walking toward them.

As expected, it was Maurice.

The man was like a haunting ghost—impossible to shake.

Their car's engine growled like a predator ready to pounce. With just a slight tap on the gas, Maurice would be roadkill.

Scarlet, feeling mischievous, shifted into neutral and revved the engine loudly. The roaring sound was aggressive, almost like a warning to back off.

However, Maurice didn't flinch at all and continued walking toward them until he stopped right beside the passenger window where Felicia sat.

Through the bulletproof glass, Felicia and Maurice locked eyes in silence.

After a long moment, Felicia sighed in resignation and rolled down the window. "What do you need, Mr. Glovers?"

Maurice extended his hand with his palm up, making a clear gesture of asking for something.

"What's this? A debt collection?" Felicia wondered.
