Felicia chuckled as she listened. Jennifer's playful voice came through the phone again, pleading, "Felicia, please, oh pretty please! Be a good friend and humor me, okay? I really want to see you again!"

After several invitations, it felt awkward to keep refusing. Felicia had a soft spot for Jennifer and sighed before reluctantly agreeing.

After deciding on a time and place, Felicia took Scarlet and headed out.

"Try it, you two, and let me know if you like it," Jennifer said brightly, her eyes twinkling with anticipation.

Felicia didn't hold back, wrapping a slice of meat in lettuce, dipping it in sauce, and taking a bite. "Not bad!"
