I was sitting at my desk, trying to concentrate on work, but nothing is processed in my head as I only have one thought surrounding me, Charlotte.

The more I am trying to forget her, the more I am drowned to think of her. Even the fact that Mateo was investigating the matter, was not stopping me for a second to think about her.

And with the thought of Mateo? Where the fuck is he dead now?! Why does it take him so long!? Since he left, I kept seeing my watch and maybe it's over these bad times I did the same movement.

I desperately want to call Mateo and ask him why the fuck is taking him so long, yet, I didn't do it. All the while, I was on the verge of snapping heads and keep firing everyone even with the slightest mistake.

Do I regret it? Fucking No! I am Augustus Stcenzo, why would I regret it? It's all because of that woman!

Currently, I shouted at some employees, as they left the office with gloomy minds and timid hearts. I stood up and couldn't help but lit up a cigarette. Just one smoke and there was a knock on the door.

"Get in!" I barked at whoever it is and Mateo entered. All sense came to alive. I wanted to go and snap his head before knowing the update on his investigation! However, I could not and just stood there, glaring at him.

If looks could kill, I guess, he would have been buried ten feet in the ground.

He lowered his head, "Alpha."

He seemed scared, but I don't care!

"Do you need an invitation to speak?!" I yelled and he gasped before shaking his head. keeping his head lower for his good.

"No Alpha..." He shook his head. "I have some updates for you."

"Speak!" I shouted again.

"Alpha, while I was investigating, I also find that Luna is investigating too." He spoke and that is something I wasn't expecting to hear.

I stared at him and suddenly everything turned silent. Mateo looked up and took a few steps ahead, as I kept staring at him blankly.

He looked at me at first, his face rigid and then he spoke again, "She is searching the matter too, using her ways. I... I did not show up before her but followed her only and realised that she is doing the same thing as me. I even confronted Gavin about it."

He looked up at me again. And when he realised that I wasn't speaking, he continued, "Alpha, even though Luna kept ignoring you for two years, for the last few months, she changed her behaviour toward you. Her every action and word started from you and end with you. Don't you think, this time, you are the one who is on the wrong side?"

"I understand your thoughts when you saw her with Adrian. But, it could also be a trap, couldn't it? And I believe it accordingly. I am sure, it's a trap for Luna. She might be the one suffering from both sides."

"After I saw her investigating the matter, I realised that Luna was genuine with her actions toward you, Alpha. There was no act in her deeds. All she did for you was from her heart and there were no tricks in them. Maybe, this time, you are thinking it wrong."

"Because if she is the culprit, she would have never investigated this matter," Mateo said making me silent all over.

"So? What are you thinking at this point?" Lucinda asked, handing me a glass of orange juice.
