AUTHOUR'S POV...

Alice looked at the way to the washroom again and again. However, it's been over fifteen minutes and Charlotte is still not with them.

She felt doubted and somewhat anxious.

'Why it's taking her so long to appear? Did she lose her way here or...' Alice shook her head. 'Stop thinking stupid things, Alice. Why she would run away?'

She kept talking with the guests and moving her gaze in the direction of the washroom in a few seconds.

Adrian noticed his sister's abnormal behaviour. He came beside her. "What happened? Why are you so anxious?"

Alice narrowed her eyes at her womaniser brother. She sometimes does not understand, why women are so obsessed with him.

He even put his eyes on her once and she clearly rejected his gaze on her and told if he tried any further, she would tell their father.

Honestly, she doesn't like her step brother much, but she has to endure him for the sake of her work. Otherwise, she wouldn't have asked his shadow even.

'Is it all because of his money, that women are crazy about him?' She thought in mind.

'Yeah, just like you.' Her Wolf, Aurora scoffed. She absolutely does not like Alice's this attitude. She only wants her own mate whom Alice rejected forcibly.

'Shut up! If you can't help, then don't. But stop creating trouble for me!' Alice rolled her eyes in her mind, at her wolf who once again scoffed and block her.

Since the day Alice rejected her mate for Augustus, Aurora never really talked to her normally and their relationship somewhat became shaky.

"Alice? What's wrong?" Adrian asked again.

Putting a smile on her face, Alice shook her head. "No, nothing... Just looking for Charlotte. Don't you think she is too late to return?"

Her words made him realise the same thing and he nodded. "You are right. But don't worry, today is her last day anyway."

Alice turned to face the lobby. "Yeah, it's better be." Then she turned her gaze to her brother again, "Then? How we are going to kill her?"

Adrian's lips curved dangerously. He brought out his phone and dialled a number.

The mobile has been picked up as a broken harsh tone was heard. "Yes, boss?"

"Are you ready guys?" He asked.

"Yes, sir." The harsh tone replied.

"Good. Make it the work of rouges and send me her pick after it is done. You will be rewarded heavily." Adrian spoke.

"Yes, boss." And then Adrian hung up, turning his gaze toward his sister, deepening that dangerous smile.

"Soon, you will be presented with the very good news of your entire life. The death of Charlotte Leighton." He announced.

Alice smiled hearing her brother. Her eyes gleamed with the images of her and Augustus together. They are marking each other and she is leading the whole kingdom with him beside her.

All his marks that he now leaves on Charlotte would be hers in just a few days. Alice clasped her hands together with a  bright smile on her face.

Nothing could make her happier than this.

CHARLOTTE...

Carefully and hiding here and there, I finally came out of the huge biotech company. Well, it isn't as big as my mate's but it felt too much today when I was escaping.

I came out and as planned from before, I walked cautiously behind the building and found Lucinda standing at a corner with slight fear in her eyes.

She has never come out of the pack before, so it's a little risky as well as curious for her little world.

When the task was given to her, she was excited and while doing it, she is a little scared and that's completely fine.

I immediately walked close to her.

"Luna." She bowed to me her face felt a little relieved with me beside her.
