CHARLOTTE...
I don't know who is this girl or why she is helping us. If she is anyone sent by Alice and Adrian? Is she taking us back to them again? Is this a trap planned by them?
All these questions appeared in my mind but I didn't stop following her, as both of us Carried Lucinda from her both sides.
However, I didn't care to bother about those questions when Lucinda needs immediate help.
We came more into the jungle and this part is darker than other parts. I am sure, no one really does have the courage to come here.
But, she brought us here. If we get killed here by any chance, no one would find her at all! Even if Augustus's search finds us, it would be late for sure.
We made unconscious Lucinda sat down, leaning against a huge tree and she looked at me. "You stay here with her, I will be right back with the herbs."
And before I could nod, she ran away, disappearing in the darkness.
I immediately sat beside Lucinda and patted her cheeks. "A little more Lucinda, a cure is on the way. Please..."
I felt droplets of a tear rolling from my cheeks. She is in this condition because of me. I hold her hands and felt her trying to hold me tightly but her weak hands lost their balance.
"L...Lu.na f.for.gi.ve me... P..pl.eeaseh." (Luna forgive me please.)
I felt more panicked in my heart and my tears rushed out more as I shook my head. "No! Don't say that! You are the one who fell in trouble because of me. Please, a little more, Lucy. Just a bit hold on."
I stared into the darkness where the strange girl disappeared. There is no sign of her.
Feeling stressed, I brought out my mobile phone. I guess, I should call Augustus. But, as I tried to open the phone, it shows there is no network.
This is pretty stupid. I felt so angry and wanted to throw the phone away. What would I do with it, if it does not work when it's needed the most?
Fuck!
Now, I could only wait for the girl, helplessly as I kept trying to keep Lucy awake.
With the passing of time, I started losing my hope for her to come back and when I almost lost it, I heard footsteps and soon, the girl appeared with a little bowl in her hand.
She rushed toward us and sat on her knees.
"Open her mouth." She said and I obliged, gaining some hope after she was left alone.
I pinched her cheeks and she poured the drop of the dark green liquid into her throat.
Lucinda's face wrinkled, as she trembled, but the girl never stopped giving her the liquid.
After she was done, she put the bowl on the grass and hold Lucind's injured arm.
Thankfully, the arrow did not hang in her body and just left after injuring her. She pours some drops on her injury too and then finally lets her lie on the ground.
"Let her sleep, she needs rest." She said.
"When will she wake up? She will be fine, right?" I asked anxiously.
"Don't worry, she will be fine once she is awake. The Wolfsbane will stop working after this medicine is all over her blood. When her blood is purifying, she needs sleep as both she and her wolf are weak. Once they recovered their energy, she will be awake." The girl explained.
I nodded, sighing in relief.
"By the way, I am Warrenda Hawking and you?"
I turned my gaze to the girl and found her smiling softly at me. Her almond shaped eyes are dark like a universe. They are so deep and there is a flash of cunningness in her.
Her long dark hair is touching her waist. They are curly and puffy which suits her wild features. Straight nose, High cheekbones and plump lips. In a word, she is sexy and beautiful without a doubt.
Her clothes are normal too. Tight round neck t-shirt with skinny jeans. A Marchubh cowboy boot and dark brown jacket.
