At this point, Josephine decided there was no need to hold back anymore. She unlocked her phone and pulled up the messages Nadine had sent her, sliding through each screenshot slowly and holding them up for Zaynto see. 

“Do you see this? Is this enough evidence for you? If it’s not, let me remind you I saw you and Nadine kissing at your company’s wrap–up party. Is that enough? It 

Before she could finish her sentence, Zayn bellowed. “Enough!” 

He hadn’t expected Nadine to go behind his back and contact Josephine. No wonder Josephine had blown upon him a while back, going so far as to cut down the tree they had planted together. She had been convinced he’d cheated on her. 

He finally let go of her wrist and, with a solemn tone, said, “If I told you there was a reason behind everything I did, one I can’t explain yet–would you believe me? 

Josephine let out a cold, derisive chuckle. “Unless you’re telling me she caught you committing murder and you had no choice but to obey her to save your life, I’m not buying any excuses!” 

“Well, you’ll have to accept it whether you like it or not,” Zayn said, his gaze unwavering. “I’m not divorcing you, Josephine Dunn. Let me make this clear—I will NEVER divorce you. Even if you loatheme, you’ll still be my wite for the rest of your lite!” 

With that, he stormed off to his car, yanking the door open and slamming it shut. The engine roared as he sped away, leaving Josephine fuming, her scalp practically tingling with rage. 

Talding a deep breath, she tried to calm herself. She had let Nadine, who had plotted against her, go in order to divorce him, and now he was saying he wouldn’t go through with it? He must be out of his mind! 

Just then, a teasing voice interrupted her thoughts. “You two are getting a divorce?” 

Josephine glanced over and locked eyes with Yvan, who stood there with an amused smirk playing on his lips. 

He clicked his tongue. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner? I’d laown earlier, I would’ve returned much sooner. Seeing your manage fall apart really made my day. Looks like I’ll have to treat myself to something nice tonight to celebrate.” 

“What a lunatic,” she thought. Josephine had long since grown used to his unpredictable personality. 

She also knew why he was behaving this way. Back when he first started dating his girlfriend, their bliss had been short–lived–cut off by the news of her engagement. 

It had hit him hard. He had always believed he was the one who had walked away, yet the truth turned out to be that she had betrayed him, even marrying his half- brother 

He must have been secretly cursing their manage ever since. Now that his wish had come true, of course he was thrilled. 

Josephine couldn’t be bothered to deal with him; she called George, and soon enough, a car pulled up in front of her just as she opened the door to get in, Yvan blocked her way. “I’ve been abroad for three years, and I don’t know anyone here anymore. Have dinner with me.” 

“What, you want to toast my miserable marriage?” she asked, sneering. 

He arched an eyebrow, his lips curving into a roguish smile. “I was just joking. Besides, you married a jerkwho cheated on you after only three years of marriage. I’m not wrong for calling your marriage a disaster. What’s got your panties in a bunch?”
