She turned around and glanced at the Shaw mansion. It was brightly lit with a lively atmosphere. She suddenly felt an intense loneliness, as if the world had left her behind. She lowered her gaze and started walking slowly toward the main road

Josephine really thought she had it all. Who could have known it was actually a nightmare in disguise. 

She heard a car coming from behind and decided to walk closer to the side of the road to give way. But, the car stopped next to her. As the window lowered, she saw Ethan looking at her with a gentle smile as he asked, “Need a ride?” 

“It’s alright, I will just call for a taxi when I get to the main road.” 

“It’s late now, are you sure you want to walk?” 

Josephine was feeling down and didn’t really want to talk to anyone. She just nodded firmly. 

Erhan tried to persuade her in a gentle and patient tone. “But, according to your speed, you’d have to walk at least half an hour to get to the main road. Besides, the party just ended Cars will be passing by you and it’s very dangerous.” 

The party ended already? Josepluie turped around to take a look and sure enough, she could see some headlights slowly approaching from far.
