Winnie was very conservative when she conveyed her message. If she was more direct, she would have asked Josephine to prepare herself to share her home with 

the mistress 

She could either try to win Zayn over by competing against the mistress or she could ask for a divorce and bid farewell to fame and fortune. As Mrs. Forbes, she only had these two options. 

Josephine was happy that she was not only Mrs. Forbes. She still had her own identity, her own life that belonged to her and her only. 

“Thank you, Winnie. Since you have said it, I’ll be honest with you too. I am ready to file for a divorce with Zayn.” 

Not too far away, Ethan was getting antsy waiting for Josephine to talk to him. He had already looked at the painting for far too long. He decided to turn around and approach Josephine first instead of waiting for her to make the first move. 

However, as he was making a beeline toward Winnie and Josephine through the crowd, he heard people talking in a hushed tone. 

“Mr. Forbes must be cheating this time.” 

“He’s really sly. He maintained his image as a loving husband on the internet, but in reality, he’s out having fun with his mistress. He has Mrs. Forbes in the palm 

of his hand.” 

“Honestly speaking, most men are cheaters. For someone as rich and handsome as Mr. Forbes, and a loving husband to boot. I think it’s fine even if he cheats. She can learn to ignore that.” 

“He would bring the mistress along to wherever they are going. He treats Mrs. Forbes and the mistress as equals. Who could tolerate that?” 

“But, Mrs. Forbes is not pregnant even after three years of marriage. Is she alright? Could that be the reason why Mr. Forbes has a mistress? Mrs. Forbes would be in a precarious position then!” 

Ethan frowned and walked over to give the woman who said that a slight push from behind. 

“Hey!” The woman screeched and looked down at her wine–stained dress. “Are you blind? You… Mr. Dane?” 

Erhan smiled and said, “My apologies, it’s my first time attending such an event. I bumped into you because I am a little nervous.” 

The women instantly forgot the topic of their conversation when they saw Ethan’s handsome face. All of them couldn’t stop smiling 

“It’s completely fine. It’s just red wine. It’s very easy to clean Girls, I am going to clean the stain and I will be back in a while.” 

If she didn’t have a spare dress, she would keep this dress for memory’s sake. 

All the other women had been vying forhis attention the whole night, but he just kept a distance from them. There were some brave ones who decided to flirt with him, but he only flashed them a polresmile before walking away without saying anything. 

Most women stopped approaching him after seeing others‘ failed attempts. They were prideful women with status after all. Regardless, he was the one approaching them now!
