Josephine was surprised to hear that. She put down the fruits and asked, "Are the tests done? What is it?"

Gorge cleared his throat. "The doctor diagnosed Mr. Dane with allergic gastrointestinal spasms caused by food poisoning. He will need to stay in the hospital for one or two days."

Allergic gastrointestinal spasms?

Even though she had never heard of it before, it sounded serious. When George said that someone had to keep an eye on him, it made her worry even more.

"Are you allergic to anything?" she asked.

Ethan answered honestly, "I'm allergic to peanuts."

That explained it. It was common for street vendors to sprinkle crushed peanuts on the food, causing accidental consumption.

"If that's the case, just stay in the hospital. I'll accompany you. If you need to run some errands, you can ask George to help out."

Upon hearing this, George quickly answered, "Actually, I have an errand to run now. Mr. Dane wants me to deliver a document. Ms. Dunn, I'll leave Mr. Dane in your care."

With that, he left the ward.

After leaving the ward, he put on a weird face and let out a sigh.

He knew something was off. How could Ethan have food poisoning out of nowhere? It turned out he was faking it.

How silly! Ethan was playing different tricks to pursue Josephine.

Just as George left, Josephine's phone rang. She answered the call when she saw that it was Zayn calling.

"Josephine, you don't have to stay in the hospital the entire time. The conference starts at 8:00 pm. I'm free until then, so I'll wait for you."

Josephine felt helpless. "Do we have to meet today? Can't we do this another day?"
