His mom tried to harm Ellinor by spiking her pomegranate juice with a substance that could cause miscarriage. He ended up in the hospital because he mistakenly drank that poisoned juice.
His own mom and sister were faking their identities. They were nothing like the kind and caring people he once thought they were!
Ellinor saw the breakdown in Byran's heart. She helplessly shook her head and said to him, "Byran, you need to take care of yourself and wise up."
Byran snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Ellinor. He had a frown on his face, wanting to say something, but he felt too ashamed about his mother and sister's actions. He pursed his lips and chose to stay silent.
"Theo, let's go."
Ellinor naturally took Theo's hand, leading him away.
Theo agreed. He held her hand tightly and left with her.
They had only taken a few steps when Patricia grabbed Theo's sleeve. "Theo, don't go... let me explain... it's not like how Ellinor described it..."
Ellinor yawned and glanced at Patricia. She lazily picked at her ear, not saying a word.
Theo looked at Patricia with a hint of impatience on his face.
"Ms. Howard! I've been bending over backward for you out of gratitude for years. You should be satisfied! If you bother my wife again and upset her, I won't be polite!"
With that, he coldly shrugged her off.
Theo, hand in hand with Ellinor, walked out of the hospital room.
