Looking terrified, Rachel struggled to find the right words.
Seeing that things were about to get messy, Matthew pulled Rachel behind him. He confronted Wyatt and turned him down.
"She's not signing it."
With a threatening expression, Wyatt responded, "Alright. Fine. You sure know how to talk a big game. But let's see how tough you are when there's a knife at your throat."
Matthew nonchalantly glanced at Wyatt. "Who dares to mess with me?"
Wyatt pointed at Matthew and turned to Patrick, shouting, "Do it, Mr. Thomson! Take him out first. If we show Ms. Carter we mean business, I bet she'll sign it immediately."
After saying that, Wyatt noticed that Patrick didn't even budge. He immediately got anxious and urged Patrick. "Why are you still standing there, Mr. Thomson?"
As soon as Patrick saw it was Matthew, he was totally dumbfounded. He knew Matthew all too well. They used to be in the same prison.
Back in prison, when Patrick first met Matthew, he tried to pick a fight with Matthew. But just a few days later, Matthew wanted to go head-to-head with him.
Thinking he was a fierce fighter, Patrick went along with it. At first, he had the upper hand, but that only lasted for two days. On the third day, Patrick found himself losing. By the fourth day, he couldn't even put up a fight.
In the week that followed, Matthew became Patrick's nightmare. The latter ended up getting beaten to a pulp every day.
Patrick didn't know how he survived that week of hell. He ended up apologizing for his faults and begging Matthew for forgiveness.
Unexpectedly, Matthew brought in another guy to team up with Patrick, and they ended up fighting him together.
Nevertheless, Matthew took both of them on by himself, doubling the damage he dealt.
Over time, the number of unfortunate souls gradually increased to five. One year later, those five people faced off against Matthew, but they still ended up battered and bruised.
Eventually, no one dared to make a move on Matthew anymore.
