Brad's expression went dark. He had a high status, so it had been a long time since anyone ever spoke to him that way. But he understood where Matthew was coming from.
Allowing Horace to leave was pretty much the same as allowing a murderer to roam free. Yet, another issue had unraveled itself.
Brad pondered for a moment before he said, "I truly never expected this to happen—they move way too quickly.
"But I promise you that I won't allow Horace to step foot into Lambda City! I can also guarantee that the soldiers will never use their guns within the country! Your family will definitely be safe!"
Matthew could tell that Brad had only said that to give him peace of mind, but how could there be such a thing as definite and guaranteed safety?
Now that Horace had been rescued, he was sure to carry out his revenge in a frenzied manner. What would happen to his parents then? And what about Lorraine's safety?
Matthew was so mad that he exited the car and took a few steps forward. After having stood still for a while, he slowly turned around.
Matthew was bursting with a chilly sense of ruthlessness. There was a murderous and bloodthirsty intent that hung in the air around him, which contributed to the heavy tension felt in the atmosphere.
Matthew resembled a bloodthirsty slaughterer, and the gaze he directed at Brad could send shivers down one's spine.
The moment Brad locked his eyes with Matthew's, he felt as if he had been brought back to the battlefield several decades ago, where corpses piled up into mountains over the bloody fields.
Brad felt a tingle sent down his spine as he looked at Matthew's eyes. He hadn't seen a pair of eyes holding so much thirst for murder in a very long time.
Afterward, Brad took a deep breath and regained his composure before he explained, "I didn't think it would happen either."
Upon hearing that, Matthew said slowly, "Brad, you set Horace free, and he would definitely take his revenge.
"By then, if anyone threatens my family, I'll go on a massacre. I don't know how many people would die then, but you should stand by and get ready to clean up the corpses!"
