With the blade in his hands, Matthew let out a maniacal expression and yelled, "I want you dead as well!"
As long as Horace was dead, this matter could be considered a closed case.
Matthew held the blade as he walked toward Horace, who seemed to be horrified. Horace never expected that Matthew would actually dare to kill him.
But at this moment in time, he seemed to have encountered the most unimaginable situation. "You actually dare kill me? Are… Are you crazy?
It was at this moment that messy footsteps sounded from outside. Soon enough, a group of people burst into the room.
Brad and Hugh were running in front, and Brad began to shout in fright when he saw Matthew walking toward Horace with a blade in his hand.
"Matthew, stop it! Do… Do you know what you're doing?"
Brad was truly frightened—Matthew genuinely meant to kill Horace. As he shouted, he stopped short in front of Horace to block Matthew from killing him.
Now that there was an obstacle in front of Matthew, he said, "I know what I'm doing, so get out of the way!"
Brad was so furious that he couldn't speak coherently. He was already blocking Matthew off, so why was Matthew so persistent in killing Horace?
"Matthew, you… You can't kill him! His status is too high, so you can't kill him!"
Horace was driven by a wave of insanity. It was the first time someone had ever dared say that they'd kill him.
"Get me a gun, Brad. I'll kill him myself!"
He had gone out in a hurry earlier and never thought of taking his gun with him because he believed that there were nearly 100 elite soldiers in Lambda City. As such, he had to borrow Brad's gun.
Matthew then charged toward Brad and said, "Do you see that? He wants me dead too! Why should I stop if he wants to kill me too?"
Brad ignored Horace's request and stretched his arms out to stop Matthew from inching closer. "I'll say it again. You can't kill him. You have no right to kill him!"
Then, Matthew used the Apex Blade to point at Dallas' corpse on the floor before he said, "He's an Eastorian and a member of the Red Wolves.
"But Horace rushed all the way here just to protect him. Do you know what this means? It means that Horace is acting as Red Wolves' shield.
"Why aren't you letting me kill him? Are you waiting for him to turn into a traitor?"
Brad was questioned into speechlessness, but he turned his head and yelled at Horace, "Horace, aren't you going to say anything?"
