Suddenly, memories from 70 to 80 years ago resurfaced in his mind, and a hint of horror and fear flashed in Brad's eyes.
Right after, the fear in his eyes turned into ferociousness. Even his dimmed and old eyes were bursting with an immense murderous intent.
"You did a great job. I would've taken them out as well, so what you did was considered meritorious. I'll treat you to a meal after everything's over!"
After he said that, Brad switched the topic and asked, "What about those 15 other people? What's their identity, and why did you kill them?"
Upon hearing that, Matthew responded coldly, "They're security guards."
Brad was stunned for a moment before he angrily asked, "Why did you kill them then?"
Matthew replied, "There's a reason why I killed them. Sebastian was a healthy man through and through, but they treated him as a psychiatric patient and even tried to give him medication. They wanted to torture him into becoming a real psychiatric patient.
"These security guards aren't here to protect the safety of the hospital but to help commit crimes with the director of the hospital! They're accomplices, so they deserved it!"
Brad went silent when he heard what Matthew had said. He never imagined that the security guards would turn out to be accomplices.
After a while, he thought of something and said, "Horace is here in Lambda City, but you can't do anything to him even if he comes to you!"
"Why?" Matthew questioned icily.
Brad fumed a little and replied, "Isaac's the one who's in the wrong, and you've already killed him. So, why would you want to mess with Horace too?"
Matthew then stared at the ground. By now, Dallas' wounds have already clotted, and his face was pale while his body was in a weakened state.
The anesthetic had begun to wear off, and Dallas was groaning in pain.
Then, Matthew retracted his line of sight and said, "The director of the psychiatric hospital is Dallas. He's from the Wood family and said that he moved to Eastoria several generations ago.
"Horace was the one who helped him establish this hospital."
Listening to that, Brad's eyes narrowed sharply, and he sat upright. "What are you trying to say? That Horace has connections with Eastoria?"
