The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 437

Matthew mulled it over and had to admit Felix was right. It was improper to sell things and then try to buy them back.

The problem was that Sandra's nasty remarks had really annoyed Felix. Getting a fair bit of criticism back was only to be expected.

Despite everything, Matthew had to get the medical literature back, so he had no choice but to keep pushing for it.

"You'd rather lose hundreds of thousands of dollars than go after the buyer. That's the right thing to do. I truly respect that."

Felix was ready for Matthew to snap, so he was a bit surprised. He gave Matthew a once-over as if he now saw Matthew in a new light.

After taking a good look at him, Felix seemed less bothered. "I get that you're trying to get on my good side by saying that, but just give it up. I'm not going to do that. I've got business to do, so just leave."

Felix already ran out of patience and started kicking Matthew out.

Thinking about the possibility of Scholarly Tradition falling into the Eastorians' hands, Matthew became restless. He approached Felix in an even humbler manner.

"I know you're trying to get me to leave. Honestly, I care about my pride. But today, I've got to swallow my pride and tell you a bit more on the matter. After I've said my piece, feel free to get mad or lay into me."

Felix hesitated to make Matthew leave. "Speak your mind then. I'm all ears."

After taking a deep breath, Matthew firmly stated, "We're talking about medical literature. It's an invaluable piece from a sect in traditional medicine. You can even put a price on its value, so—"

Felix interjected. "Stop going on about how precious it is. You're just spouting nonsense. Traditional medicine is fading, and its books are pretty much worthless. Look at these. I have tons of traditional medicine books just sitting here.

"Don't forget that this is a junkyard. The books are treated like trash. Don't you feel ashamed when you call it valuable?"

As Felix spoke, he gestured toward the massive stack of medical books not far away, making sure Matthew would see it.

The truth was laid bare in front of his eyes. He wouldn't trust anything Matthew said.

Matthew shook his head. "I don't find anything I said ridiculous. That particular book is really priceless. Traditional medicine is on the decline, and those books are seen as junk. That's the reality.

"But just because traditional medicine might be unpopular doesn't mean it's useless. Have you ever wondered why someone's offering such a high price for the medical book?"

What was the reason? Felix knitted his brows together. He was struggling to wrap his head around why anyone would spend so much on a medical book.
