Matthew noticed the women gathered under the shade. They looked over and whispered among themselves. Upon seeing this, he understood why the folks in the village often said widows attracted drama.
Matthew hurried to the door and started knocking. Soon, footsteps could be heard from inside. The door creaked open, and a breathtaking beauty showed up.
Renae had switched up her outfit today with some tight-fitting jeans and a fitted white short-sleeve shirt. Even though her clothes were nothing special, they made her figure look more feminine.
Those skinny jeans highlighted her long legs and made her booty look perky as though they were bouncy. Her slim waist accentuated her curves even more.
Renae's striking red lips and mesmerizing eyes were just irresistible. Upon sight of this, Matthew was stunned for a moment.
Renae chuckled at Matthew's reaction and asked with a smile, "What's wrong? Don't you remember me?"
With his face flushed red, Matthew replied, "We agreed to go to your parent's place to get the medical literature. Are you ready to go?"
With an exasperated look, Renae gazed at Matthew. "Since you're here, why don't you come in and grab a coffee?"
Matthew cleared his throat. "Let's get down to business first."
What business? Renae's eyes lit up as she thought there was more to his words. "Sure, let's get the medical literature first, then we'll go back to my place. I'll whip up my signature dishes for you."
Standing nearby, Trevor's face twitched a little at the mention of Renae's signature dishes. His bloodshot eyes darted toward Renae for a moment, but he quickly averted his gaze.
The last time Trevor had a nosebleed, it really freaked him out. The worst part was that he couldn't sleep that night after eating the food. It was such a hassle.
Matthew was eager to get the medical literature, so he urged Renae. "Come on. Let's get going."
With that, the three of them got inside the car and arrived at Brickshire half an hour later.
