Renae's hands trembled slightly as she held the coffee, and she looked at Matthew with rosy cheeks. The moment their eyes met, she nervously looked away. She then carried on as if nothing had happened and poured some coffee from the pot.
Trevor expected Renae to snap, so he stared at her for a while. Seeing she did not react, he couldn't help but frown, puzzled about why she chose to stay quiet. Shouldn't she have been mad?
Right then, Renae flashed him an easy smile and said, "Is that true? Is he okay with me being a widow?
Renae had missed her shot in the private room at the spa, and now she wanted to see if Matthew was interested in her.
Really? She didn't blow up? Trevor was utterly surprised. How could this be happening? The way Renae put it seemed like she was hoping Matthew would make a move on her.
Matthew was also taken aback for a moment. Reane's words had gotten his imagination running wild. The way she bent down with her hips up right in front of him got his blood pumping.
At this point, Matthew couldn't help but agree that he was getting more and more carried away by his lust.
When Matthew had just gotten out of prison, it was only natural that he felt a stir after seeing a woman. After all, spending three years without a woman was a long time.
Just a few days ago, Matthew had spent some intimate moments with Rachel, so he ought to be quite satisfied. But it had only been a week without a woman, and now he found himself wanting to make a move at the sight of one.
Was there something wrong with the cultivation method Nicholas had taught him?
Ansel had mentioned before that Nicholas had a ton of women, and it was the same for everyone practicing this cultivation method.
If Matthew followed the same path, would he end up with lots of women in the future? Was he destined to become a player like Nicholas?
Part of Matthew was looking forward to it, but he also had this strange fear of turning into that.
Renae subtly sized up Matthew and saw him blushing as he stared at her butt. She felt a tingling sensation in her perky hips as if his gaze carried electricity.
Feeling a little lightheaded, she finished pouring the coffee, her face turning red. "Enjoy your tea. I'll go make us some food," she said. With that, Renae strutted off.
Watching Renae leave, Matthew brought the cup to his lips and took a sip. Recalling how Trevor had called him out earlier, Matthew asked, "What was that all about just now?"
Sporting a blank expression, Trevor coldly replied, "I just think she should be more wary of men, so I gave her a heads-up."
Matthew raised an eyebrow. "Are you worried that I'll make a move on her?"
