Gary was thrown for a loop by the slap. He gaped at Matthew and kept pointing at Matthew for a while before he managed to get a word out.
"I'm a district leader. The district leader of this area, in fact. How dare you lay your hand on me? Do you have a death wish?"
Matthew snapped, "What makes you think you're special? Didn't Ted tell you about Brad?"
Upon hearing that, Gary got even more livid. "Brad? The only Brad I know is a big shot. You're nothing compared to him. Even I'm not worthy to be around him. As for any other Brad…"
On that note, Gary paused for a moment.
Matthew took out his phone and looked for Brad's number. Then, he made a video call and coldly asked, "What about the other Brad?"
Gary dismissively replied, "Even if they're named Brad, they're irrelevant in front of me. You—"
Just as Gary was speaking, Matthew shoved his phone in Gary's face. On the screen, an old man was flipping out.
"How dare you disrespect me? I fought hard to build this country and made sure you were fed and clothed. And now you're treating me like I'm nothing?
"What's your name, you idiot? I'm going to bring my gun and blow you to bits."
Gary could feel Brad's rage and murderous intent even through the screen. As he aggressively shouted at the camera, he even pointed his fingers at it.
Anyone familiar with Brad's temper would have known right away. This was the infamous Brad Miles, a lunatic who'd take on an entire army by himself when he was mad, and an old man who'd curse at just about anyone.
Staring the the screen, Gary's face turned pale out of fear. How did someone so high-profile get involved with Lamda City?
