The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 368

Levi picked up the cup, slowly walked over to Isaac, and presented it to him. "Mr. Wood, your coffee."

Isaac accepted it and took a sip.

When he was about to talk, his chauffeur walked in with a somewhat embarrassed look on his face. "Mr. Wood, Mr. Lancaster's secretary called and said someone named Matthew Grant is looking for him. Mr. Lancaster has been asked to go back."

Levi was somewhat surprised. "I told Tobias to take care of him. Why is he at my office?"

Isaac hurled the cup at the ground, then slapped Levi across the face. "And you fucking promised me he won't be able to last three days? He's now after you!"

Levi covered his face, secretly gritting his teeth in anger. However, he dared not express any displeasure. "Mr. Wood, I've no idea what's going on either. I… I'll go back and have a look."

Isaac scoffed, "What else could have happened? Your subordinate, that Tobias, must have betrayed you and ratted you out. Have you got rocks in your head? You couldn't even figure that out?"

Levi held his face and dared not retort. Naturally, he knew Tobias must have betrayed him. But he couldn't figure out why Tobias would dare to do that.

Tobias used to be just a thug. Then, by chance, he became Levi's chauffeur for a few days. With Levi's help, he had managed to make somewhat of a name for himself in Lambda City.

In truth, Tobias was one of Levi's henchmen. The latter couldn't believe Tobias had actually betrayed him.

"Mr. Wood, since Matthew is looking for me, I won't let him go. He has a death wish if he's at my office. I'll frame him for a crime of some kind. His life will be over!"

Isaac huffed. "Why the fuck are you still here then?"

At Isaac's reproach, Levi's face twitched, and he nodded. "I'm going. I'm going right now."

Levi acted as Isaac's thrall, letting Isaac berate him as he pleased. He didn't dare to show the slightest hint of dissatisfaction.

After 20 years of hard work, he had finally reached his current position. Nobody but him knew of the difficulties he had faced and the sacrifices he'd had to make along the way.
