Upon arriving at the entrance of Opulent Club, Matthew was about to call Silas when someone opened the car door and took a seat in the back.
Matthew turned and spotted Silas. "How did you know I was coming to pick you up?"
Silas replied with a smile, "Lately, I've been waiting downstairs at our usual time. If you didn't show up, I'd just go back upstairs."
Matthew got the idea. "So you're planning to head back to the clinic, right?"
Silas nodded. "I feel uneasy if I don't help out in the clinic."
Matthew started the car and headed to the general clinic. Since the clinic only opened sporadically, it had no queue when they arrived.
Despite that, there were always a few cars parked outside every day. It looked like they never missed a day and were keeping watch by the door.
When Matthew parked the car, he shot a few glances at them. With a darkened expression, Silas muttered, "Why are these people still around?"
Matthew didn't say anything and walked alongside Silas to the door. When they reached the door, they spotted a bunch of notices stuck up at the entrance.
Matthew grabbed a random note and read, "Hello, Dr. Solomon. I'm 70 years old and in good health, but I'm getting less patient and more irritable."
Silas also took a paper note. After taking a read, he sighed and commented, "It'd be great to treat the patients at the clinic every day. None of these issues are serious. They just need regular healthcare. But if they go untreated for too long, other issues might come up."
Matthew took out a key and unlocked the door. After going inside, he added, "Since they left their phone numbers, give them a call and tell them to come here."
Silas put a stack of notes on the desk. "I'll reach out to them right now." Silas was serious about his work and began contacting each patient who had left a note.
Suddenly, a few people barged in through the door. One of them held a knife against Silas' throat. "Come with us."
