Matthew noticed Rachel was upset. "Hey, what's wrong? Who got on your nerves? Was it Lorraine?"
Rachel turned her head. "You were supposed to show up after I picked up Lorraine. What happened?"
Matthew finally realized Rachel was mad at him. "Sorry. I ran into some trouble."
Rachel coldly snorted. "Is there anything more important than Lorraine and I?" After saying that, Rachel went quiet.
This was the first time Rachel was mad at Matthew. She was acting like a girlfriend, and Matthew wasn't used to it.
"I had to deal with some important stuff. Everything's been sorted out with the Clark family, so there shouldn't be any trouble now. As a gesture of apology, Sara volunteered to be my chauffeur."
Did Sara actually become Matthew's chauffeur? How was that possible? Rachel was in disbelief. "You're not messing with me, right? Sara is so full of herself that she doesn't even respect me. For her, being a chauffeur is worse than death."
Matthew flashed a smile. "I'm being serious, or I wouldn't have been late. By the way, you might want to start a new research institute on telomere and longevity with traditional medicine."
Rachel immediately understood what Matthew was planning. "You're not honestly thinking about coming up with a magical drug for immortality, are you?"
Matthew wasn't sure how to explain it. The situation was a little complicated, and there were things he couldn't talk about.
"The Clark family made some progress. That shows it can work."
Rachel shook her head. "A lot of discoveries are happening all the time. I keep an eye on them, including the telomere you talked about.
