The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 282

As Matthew spoke, he reached out to help Rachel by grabbing her arm and pulling her up.

She was upset and startled by the sudden, firm grip on her arm. She was repulsed by how dirty his hands were. Feeling a surge of disgust, she pushed his hand away and snapped, "Don't touch me!"

Matthew frowned, puzzled by her outburst. Had he done something wrong? He replayed the events in his mind, scrutinizing every detail.

He had brought Silas back to Wealthwave Group, where Sara had discovered Silas. Not only did she harbor a grudge against Matthew, but she also had lingering resentment toward the Carter family.

He figured that his actions were creating trouble for the Carters, which made Rachel angry.

He realized how valuable her loyalty was when he recalled how she had stood by him through thick and thin. She was someone deserving of care and appreciation.

As these thoughts crossed his mind, he suddenly felt sorry for her.

Matthew nudged Rachel's arm with a grin. "Don't be upset. It won't happen again next time."

She clenched her teeth in frustration upon hearing that. She couldn't believe he was still fantasizing about doing it next time.

Rachel cursed herself for not being decisive enough. Even though she had known he was a scoundrel, she hadn't broken up with him.

She convinced herself it was because of Fred, but the real issue was that she had developed feelings for him. Plus, she had somehow lost her innocence to Matthew, which made her even more furious.

Matthew noticed Rachel's frosty silence and tried to cheer her up.

Since she was crouching, her tight clothes accentuated her figure, and it made her rear end look even more perky. When he saw that, he couldn't resist reaching out and touching it.
