Sara's gaze burned with rage. "I'm offering you a million dollars. Don't be greedy."
Matthew was enraged and retorted, "Let me be clear—it's not about the money. Even if you offered ten billion dollars, you still can't take Silas."
She looked at him with contempt. "What did you just say? You're telling me I can't take Silas? Do you even realize what you're saying? Do you know the consequences of those words?"
Besides Sara, Rachel was also becoming frustrated. She stepped in and grabbed Matthew's arm. "What are you doing? Don't cause me any more trouble, okay?"
He shook his head. "I'm not causing trouble. I'm serious about this."
She saw the intensity in his eyes and warned him, "Do you understand what you're getting into? You alone can't stop them from taking Silas. Even with my family's help, it won't be enough."
Matthew felt a surge of gratitude at Rachel's mention of the Carters. He knew they couldn't match the Clarks, but their support meant a lot.
He replied firmly, "Stay out of my business. No one's taking Silas, and not a single hair on his head will be touched."
Sara raised an eyebrow. "Matthew, do you even know your place? You're just a chauffeur—a lowly chauffeur. Don't think that being bold and shameless makes you untouchable. If you try to interfere this time, you'll face a brutal end."
This wasn't a minor issue like spanking her. It was a massive, high-stakes plan with far-reaching consequences. The scale and scope of it were truly frightening.
Matthew said coldly, "Don't try to scare me. It won't work."
