Rewriting My Heart's Fate novel Chapter 477

"Who is it?" I asked, feeling a surge of confusion and dread.

Richard's face turned uneasy. "It's… it's Mr. Grayson."

I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.

Ethan? What was he doing here?

"Mr. Grayson seems to have realized you were missing, and he's gone crazy looking for you," Richard said quietly. "Somehow, he managed to find his way here and insists on seeing you."

A fire of frustration burned in my chest.

What did Ethan want from me? Why couldn't he just disappear and stop messing up my life?

Richard noticed my anger and gently patted my shoulder. "Don't worry, Ms. Wiley. We'll take care of this. You stay here and rest, I'll talk to Mr. Grayson."

With that, he hurried off.

I stood alone on the terrace for a long while, gradually calming myself down.

No, I couldn't run away anymore. I had to face Ethan, once and for all. I had to tell him to let go, to stop tormenting me.

Some battles had to be fought on your own.

Resolved, I walked back into the villa with determined steps. As I pushed the door open, an unexpected scene greeted me.

Ethan, disheveled and exhausted, was sitting on the couch, silent, with Stefano and Richard standing across from him, seemingly trying to reason with him.

"It's me," I said flatly.

The three of them turned toward me, and Ethan jumped to his feet.

"Evelyn!" he practically shouted.

In the blink of an eye, he rushed over to me, pulling me into his arms in a tight embrace.
