Rewriting My Heart's Fate novel Chapter 432

Next to Caroline was Whitney. She ground her teeth, and her face was equally twisted in rage.

"That wretched woman! How dare she humiliate us like this in public?" Caroline snarled. She slammed her fist against the wall, her knuckles cracking audibly. "I won't let her get away with this!"

Whitney sneered coldly. "Relax. We still have a backup plan."

Their hushed scheming didn't escape my notice, though I couldn't make out exactly what they were plotting. Just then, a commotion erupted nearby.

A tall, handsome man strode in confidently. His face was lit with a knowing smile.

I blinked in surprise. It was Kevin!

Wasn't he supposed to be busy preparing backstage? Why was he here now?

Kevin stopped before me and smiled. "Evelyn, don't worry. It's not over yet."

I was confused. "Kevin, what do you mean? Don't tell me… the police are here to arrest me?"

Kevin chuckled and interrupted me before I could spiral further. "No, but I took a precaution just in case."

"What?" I stared at him, utterly baffled.

"I secretly installed a hidden camera in their dressing room," Kevin explained.

My eyes widened in disbelief. "You… did what?"

"That's not all," he said smugly, holding up a USB drive. "I also connected remotely to their computers and recorded the entire process of them stealing your designs."

He added, "These are irrefutable proof."

My heart raced as his words sank in. A wave of relief and exhilaration washed over me. This was a miracle. With this evidence, I could finally clear my name and bring Caroline and Whitney to justice.

Caroline and Whitney overheard Kevin's words. Their faces turned deathly pale. They could never have imagined that what they thought was a flawless crime had been completely caught on camera.

"No… no way!" Caroline stammered, losing her composure entirely. "You're lying! We didn't do anything illegal!"
