In that moment of heart-pounding tension, the door was kicked open with a loud bang.

A faint flashlight flickered, casting shadows of a few indistinct figures. Jennifer squeezed her eyes shut and swung the iron rod in her hand, striking with all her strength. However, the iron rod was seized by a tremendous force and could no longer move an inch.

It was over! Her plan failed!

Jennifer kept her eyes tightly closed, unwilling to face what was about to happen. She desperately tried to retrieve the iron rod that had been tightly gripped by someone, but it was futile.

In the corner, the other women who were also bound screamed, their shrill cries almost enough to pierce eardrums.

Jennifer felt hopeless, her mind only focused on the thought of trying to take the other person down with her.

Jennifer almost thought she was dreaming and blurted out, "How could it be you?"

Felicia smiled at her and gently pried her clenched fingers apart, taking the rusty iron rod from her hand. She comforted her, "It's okay. Don't be scared. I'll take you all out of here."

There were so many things Jennifer wanted to ask, and she had so many doubts. But clearly, she recognized Felicia. After all, they had met before in the hospital parking lot. She had tried to help the stiffened Felicia, only to almost be strangled to death!

That was their only encounter in the past, but to her surprise, here they were again!

Jennifer wanted to ask more, but now was not the time to talk.
