His smile was sincere, but the words he spoke were sharp and blunt. It felt like an interrogation. "Don't you want to bury Archie's body? Don't you want to avenge him yourself? Now, I'm giving you this opportunity. Do you want it?"
Revenge? Did she still have a chance for revenge?
Johanna felt a bit dazed.
She had already come to terms with reality. To her, the Russell family was like an insurmountable mountain that she could only look up and worship. It would never be toppled!
Pete didn't give her much time to think. He glanced at his watch and urged, "Do you want to come with me or not? Time's running out. If you're unwilling, then just go ahead and kill yourself. I can give you that knife from earlier."
"I'll go with you!"
Johanna didn't know where this path would lead her or to what kind of hell she would find herself in next, but it didn't matter.
Archie was already waiting for her there.
"Promise me you'll help me get revenge, or else, I don't mind dying with you right here!" This threatening statement was bold, but it made Pete chuckle softly.
He looked at Johanna with a gaze that held more appreciation than the earlier amusement. The last person he found admirable was Kayla, who had similar ambitions. Now, Johanna was entirely consumed by anger and hatred, someone who could completely abandon all restraint.
She would make for an extremely useful tool.
"There will definitely be an opportunity. Even if there isn't, I'll create one for you. Now, let's go, Ms. Rosario."
Pete extended his hand toward Johanna, but she insisted on taking Archie's body with her.
