Return of the Crowned Heiress novel Chapter 617

Felicia had no intention of sitting idly by.

At the same time, Stephan and Imogen set a trap for Archie, staging an elaborate act that portrayed the Russell family as leaderless and in chaos over a power struggle.

Archie took the bait almost immediately.

He wasted no time contacting his backer, urging Pete to lend him manpower to help him seize control of the Russell family.

By nightfall, the conflict would break out. Confident in having the Carrell family's support, Archie planned to forcibly obtain the family's seal and take control of the Russell family.

What he didn't expect, however, was that the supposedly powerless Stephan would simultaneously take down the Carrell family. But that was a story for another time.

Felicia didn't plan to get involved in this operation. After lunch the next day, she borrowed a car from Stephan. She didn't hide her intentions and explained the details of the missing persons case she was dealing with, including her hiring of mercenaries.

Now that Monkey, who was working for her, had gone missing, she had to go look for him—out of responsibility and obligation.

Stephan didn't stop her but simply asked, "Do you need more manpower?"

"No. That'll attract too much attention. Besides, I have Scarlet and five other mercenaries with me. I'll be safe."

Felicia always preferred to act discreetly, especially in situations like this where keeping a low profile was crucial to avoid alerting the enemy.

"Be careful." Stephan reached out and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. His dark eyes were filled with an indescribable intensity as they stared into hers.

Felicia raised an eyebrow. She had expected him to object to her plan. Surprisingly, he agreed without hesitation. Well, that saved her the trouble of convincing him.
