"No," Imogen muttered to herself and then smiled. "I misspoke. How could a child of the Russell family have such a father? He doesn't deserve to be your father."
After instructing the maids not to leave the child unattended for even a moment, Imogen changed her clothes and quietly left the room, heading toward another building. A corridor bridge connected the two villas, making it a convenient walk.
Imogen, familiar with the layout, went straight up to the third floor, where Stephan's room was located.
At the moment, two rows of guards stood at the door, their expressions tense and solemn. The entire corridor was filled with the distinct smell of disinfectant and medicine.
Upon hearing the sound of footsteps, Stanley looked up and, seeing Imogen, hurried to meet her. "Ms. Russell, why are you here? Mr. Russell is still undergoing emergency treatment. The situation isn't good. You should go back—"
"Take me to see him," Imogen cut Stanley off before he could finish, her tone commanding and leaving no room for argument.
Stanley, having been immersed in his acting in the past few days, remained committed to his role. His voice broke slightly as he said, "Miss, Mr. Russell's current state is… unsightly. I can't even bring myself to look. You really shouldn't see him…"
Imogen was left speechless by his acting skills.
She rolled her eyes at Stanley, bypassed him, and placed her finger on the fingerprint scanner, unlocking the tightly secured door with ease.
The guards, including Stanley, watched in shock. How did she manage to unlock it so effortlessly? Before they could react, she had already pushed the door open and walked inside.
"Miss, you can't go in!"
Stanley panicked. Things were getting out of hand, but he didn't dare to stop her physically.
