Back when Archie first caught Imogen's attention, he had cautiously mentioned that he wanted to take care of his sister. He said that, if possible, he wished to bring her to live in the Russell residence.
At the time, Imogen believed Johanna was Archie's biological sister and agreed without hesitation. But in the end, she had been made a complete fool of. She had been played like a clown! She sneered coldly, crumpling the report in her hand and tossing it into the trash can.
By noon, Archie came to deliver her lunch, and sure enough, Johanna was following right behind him. The two of them seemed to enjoy this thrill, sneaking little gestures at each other from time to time.
Imogen pretended to be blind, acting as if she saw nothing and calmly eating her meal.
Compared to the initial shock when she first uncovered the ugly truth, she now accepted it rather well. She treated it like watching a free circus. From time to time, she would suddenly speak up and startle the shameless couple.
Guilty people would always be nervous. There were a few times when Imogen suddenly spoke, causing their intimate gestures to halt abruptly. Their nerves were stretched tight in fear of being caught.
It was quite amusing.
Imogen smirked in her heart. Then, while the shameless duo was distracted, she stealthily slipped Archie's phone, which was face-down on the table, into the folds of her blanket.
She then used the excuse of needing rest to drive them out of the room.
Once the door was locked, Imogen quickly unlocked Archie's phone. Fortunately, because she was blind, he never suspected she would remember his passcode, which was ironically Johanna's birthday.
Imogen first checked his contact list, finding only two numbers—one saved under Johanna's name and the other left unlabeled.
She took out her own phone, snapped a photo of the unlabeled number, and then scrolled to the message section.
There was a long list of chat records, all of them between Archie and Johanna. The timestamps dated back to much earlier than Imogen expected.
