But this was the Russell family of Seldvale. Their bodyguards and subordinates were terrifyingly skilled, not to mention there were so many of them!
How were they going to manage this?
They might as well just lie down and take the beating!
Scarlet could only tug at Felicia, urging, "Life is precious. Let's just turn back. Getting beaten to death here would be too shameful. Let's leave."
Felicia ignored her and walked directly toward the imposing, majestic iron gates.
The Russell residence was tightly secured, with guards at every corner and surveillance everywhere. As Felicia approached, the gates slowly creaked open, and two well-trained guards rushed out.
Scarlet tensed up, already assuming a defensive stance. She was prepared for a fight.
However, the two guards immediately lowered their heads respectfully and greeted Felicia, "Good day, Mrs. Russell!"
Scarlet was rendered speechless.
She raised an eyebrow, as if understanding something, and her tense posture relaxed. She followed suit and asked, "Mrs. Russell, are you returning home?"
Felicia shot her a sideward glance and quickly looked away. She addressed the two guards, "I want to see Stephan."
"Mr. Russell… Mr. Russell is…"
The two guards hesitated, not knowing how to respond. Just then, a few physicians emerged from inside, discussing something as they walked.
One of them said, "With Mr. Russell down, the Russell family is about to change, and Seldvale is going to change too!"
"It's a pity. Mr. Russell was poisoned so badly at such a young age. He's beyond saving…"
The physicians got into a car, and their conversation quickly faded away.
Catching a few keywords, Felicia's expression changed slightly. She turned to the two Russell family guards and demanded, "What exactly happened? Tell me!"
