Adrian frowned at the news.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He barked into the phone as his eyes fell on the woman beside him.

She is watching him in expectation, covering her chest with the quilt over them.

"I am sorry, sir. I have investigated a lot but there has been no evidence of Victoria knowing anything about you and Madam Alice."

"How is that possible?" Adrian asked, falling into a little daze. Though he was a little reluctant to do an investigation about that idiotic girl, he is surprised.

"Not only her, no one around her knows anything at all. Do you want me to continue this investigation?" His spy asked.

"No need. Let it go. She doesn't know anything but acting smart, I guess. Anyways, good job." He said and hung up the call.

"What happened? Who is it? Any news about Charlotte?" Alice asked, a little desperate.

Adrian frowned. "You think too much, Alice. She doesn't know anything. I am sure, your guess is wrong." He scoffed.

Alice blinked in a daze.

If she did not know anything, then why Charlotte behaved like that to her? Just for an Omega only? Or she...

Without a question, I sat down and looked up at her.

Warrenda handed me the purple gleaming liquid, "Pour this liquid here when I say it."

I nodded, not trusting ly shaky tone.

She walked behind me and did not come in front. Curiously, I turned to face her as she immediately forced my head to the front again.

"Don't look behind, Charlotte. This is the most important part of this magic. Once you turn around, you will lose your wolf and something precious in the next second."

Her words sent a chill down me. I don't want to lose anything! No!

So, I kept my head straight without any movement. Her words were enough to put me in the place.

I looked up at Lucinda and felt a little jealous of her. She can see what Warrenda is doing and suddenly, she gasped in shock, as her eyes turned wide.

She even took a step back and seemed scared, which made my heart thud around like crazy.

Lucinda kept staring at Warrenda and I was watching Lucinda. My soul is so desperate to look behind and I want to but I know the consequences and I can't effort that.
