Rebirth of The Vengeful Luna novel Chapter 30

CHARLOTTE...

I huffed, feeling a little restless with time. And why not? The only evidence I collected from Adrian's company is not with me!

I have given it to Warrenda and she is a witch, who is now disappeared for seven days and I don't have any idea where she lives, even though she has told me that the witches lives in some other realm and way is the dark forest.

I don't know if I did the right thing by believing her or not. But, she did save Lucinda's life and protected us from the assassins.

I guess, I can put some trust in her, right? But then again, seven days passed away and no news from her. Everything seems so outward to me now.

However, in these seven days, I don't have to face that annoying and stupid girl. Alice, if you may ask.

She did not show up and I would like to keep it that way, but I know she would show up again. Because her last plan failed. I am sure she is planning something awful. This is the silence before the storm.

I need my wolf before that happens because, without my wolf, I am nothing but a burden to Augustus and this pack and even to myself.

As I kept sighing, sitting on the porch and waiting for Lucinda to make me some spicy dishes, I heard impatient footsteps and Lucinda came running out to the porch.

"LUNA! SHE IS HERE!" She seemed so excited and that made me confused.

In this one week, our relationship loosened up a lot. She started to open up to me but never crossed the respectful line.

Nowadays, we shared things with each other. I have shared how Alice and Adrian suppressed my wolf with drug and their real motive, of course, except the part where I have reborn.

Augustus also doesn't have any problem with my friendship with Lucinda.

I frowned, arching my brow. "Why came? Alice?"

I picked up the glass of water and took a sip.

She immediately shook her head. "Nah! It's someone you are eagerly waiting for to show up!" She said clasping her hands together. "Witch Warrenda!"

I almost spilt the water out of me and stood up, suddenly excited even more than Lucinda. She is here! She did not betray me!

"Where is she?" I asked.

"Waiting in the hall. Should I bring her up!?"

"Of course! Do that!" I immediately gave permission and she turned to leave but I stopped her immediately. "Wait, Lucinda."

"Yes, Luna?" She turned to me with slight confusion.

"Does others know about her presence here?" I asked and she thought for some time before shaking her head. "Without Carina, no one was there that time." She then shook her head. "I know Carina since childhood. She won't tell others, I guess."

I nodded seriously. "Still, ask her to lock her mouth, okay? And bring Warrenda up secretly. I still don't know what is her motive for coming here."

Lucinda is smart. She understood the assignment and with a respectful nod, she walked out of the room.

A few later, Lucinda walked inside with Warrenda following her.

I looked at those warm but cunning dark eyes, they are shining bright as she smiled at me with a slight bow.

"Luna queen Charlotte Leighton, Warrenda Hawking reporting." Her greeting was polite and it felt a little powerful to me.

I smiled with a nod. "Hi, Warrenda. It's nice meeting you again. So, how are you here?"

She did not waste her time and brought out a little pouch from her small backpack.

"I am sure, Luna Leighton is waiting for this antidote eagerly." Bringing out a little tube from the pouch.

I watched and heard Lucinda gasped lowly. Well, I don't blame her. The liquid in the bottle is so sparkly and I swear, I would love to keep it locked in the showcase anytime.

Warrenda walked close to me and handed me the bottle. "Here take this. This is the antidote you are searching for."
