No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 96

Noelle wondered if the reporter had mistaken her for a member of Team Luminark. Her expression remained cold as she calmly replied, "I wouldn't know. I'm not part of that team anymore."

Her words left the reporters stunned.

Was the eldest daughter of the Liddell family not a part of Team Luminark? Was it some kind of joke? Could the rumors about her falling out with the Liddell family be true?

The reporter immediately turned to Lucas. "Mr. Lucas, do you have any comments? Why isn't Ms. Liddell part of the team? I heard rumors of a conflict between you two. Is that accurate?"

Faced with the reporter's probing questions, Lucas opened his mouth but could not say a single word.

Xenia held onto Lucas' arm and said smilingly, "Oh, it's nothing serious. Noelle has just been throwing a little tantrum with the family recently. After all, we're family. She's benefited from the family's resources for many years to get to where she is today. I'm sure she wouldn't do something as ungrateful as turning her back on us."

Rachel couldn't hold back any longer. "Xenia, do you even hear yourself? What nonsense are you spouting?"

That was not what happened. It was evident that Xenia was trying to manipulate the narrative in front of the reporters.

Noelle lowered Rachel's hand before she replied calmly, "But it was Lucas who personally removed me from the team. He found a more talented gunner to take my place."

The reporter followed up, asking, "If I'm not mistaken, that would be the streamer SweetNelly, right? She's a gunner as well, and an incredibly skilled one! Rumor has it she'll be attending tonight's event, but we don't know what she looks like."

The reporter's gaze shifted to Noelle upon the last statement, hinting at the rumor that Noelle might be SweetNelly.

Xenia didn't want to stay outside anymore, so she took out her invitation and handed it over. Then, she looked at Noelle and said, "Noelle, I'm sorry, but each invitation only allows one guest."

Lucas' voice was gruff as he looked at Noelle and said, "I didn't know you wanted to attend. Next time, tell me earlier."

He could have obtained more invitations, but he didn't know that Noelle also wanted to attend.
